Location & Directions

The Medical Devices Center Core Facilities are located on the 5th Floor of
Shepherd Labs on the East Bank of the University of Minnesota's Twin Cities
Campus. The Core Facilities consists of 9 rooms all of which contain common
use equipment researchers will use to design and test medical devices.

Shepherd Labs Driving Directions

From the Airport:
Follow signs to St. Paul. Go to the Minneapolis/Mendota Bridge Exit after leaving airport. Follow signs to Minneapolis (Highway 62 West). Stay on Highway 62 to 35W North Exit #17C (Highway 122). Follow I-35W north to the U of M EAST BANK exit, 17C. Stay in the far right lane and exit on Washington Ave S.E. Continue over the Washington Avenue Bridge. The ramp will be located on your left, between Union and Harvard Streets. Shepherd Labs is located behind and off to the left of the ramp. Take the elevator to the 5th Floor.

Going south on I-35W:
Follow I-35W south to the University Avenue/4th street exit (Exit #18). Take second left onto University Avenue. At 17th Street (Church Street), turn right. At the stop sign take a left onto Pilsbury drive. Follow Pilsbury as it winds around, and eventually becomes Union Street. The entrance to the ramp will be on your left. Shepherd Labs is located behind and off to the left of the ramp. Take the elevator to the 5th Floor.

Going north on I-35W:
Follow I-35W north to the U of M east bank exit, 17C. Stay in the far right lane and exit on Washington Ave S.E. Continue over the Washington Avenue Bridge. The ramp will be located on your left, between Union and Harvard Streets. Shepherd Labs is located behind and off to the left of the ramp. Take the elevator to the 5th Floor.

Going east on I-394/I-94:
Follow I-94 east to I-35W north. Follow I-35W north to the U of M east bank exit, 17C. Stay in the far right lane and exit on Washington Ave S.E.Continue over the Washington Avenue Bridge. The ramp will be located on your left, between Union and Harvard Streets. Shepherd Labs is located behind and off to the left of the ramp. Take the elevator to the 5th Floor.

Going west on I-94:
Follow I-94 west and take the Huron Boulevard exit, 235B and take a left onto Washington Avenue. The ramp will be located on your right, between Union and Harvard Streets. Shepherd Labs is located behind and off to the left of the ramp. Take the elevator to the 5th Floor.
