Christian received his Bachelors of Science in Bioengineering from the University of California, San Diego. During his undergraduate education, he participated in research under Geoffrey Weiner to understand the relationship between early neural activity in the retina and vascular proliferation.

After finishing his education and before becoming an Innovation Fellow, he worked in the medical device industry. He joined Sonendo, a mid-stage startup focused on modernizing endodontic procedures. Afterwards, he joined the Critical Care division of Edwards Lifesciences, where he worked on a variety of invasive and non-invasive sensor technology.

His interests include finance, monetary policy, digital currencies, ambient music, and innovation. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and family, biking, golfing, lifting and playing DOTA.
