Felix Landaeta, M.Sc. (2017-2018)
Felix Landaeta has over 10 years of technical experience providing product/process design and manufacturing services to leading Medical Device and Bio-science corporations in the US and Europe. Prior to that, Felix worked as a Project Manager for Baxter Corp. developing manufacturing equipment for IV-Sets and Blood Packs as well as leading critical design changes to these two product lines. From 2000 to 2002 Felix was an Assistant Professor at Simon Bolivar University. He holds a BS in Systems Science and Engineering (Cum Laude 1999) as well as a MS in System Science and Mathematics (2000) both from Washington University in St Louis where he concentrated in Non Linear Controls and mathematical modeling.
Passionate about addressing medical needs in under developed regions, Felix has recently engage with leading physician in the Caribbean in the innovation of low cost orthopedic instruments/implants and clinical procedures. He is an active member of the the Puerto Rico Medical Device Cluster and the Puerto Rico Techno-economic Corridor, actively promoting entrepreneurship in Medical Devices and serving as liason with the University of Puerto Rico Engineering School.
Felix is an avid tinkerer, a well rounded traveler, and a hiker. In his free time, he volunteers at local Montessori schools as a science and math teacher.
