Annamaria Szabolcs is a board certified in internal medicine in Europe. She did her medical training and PhD at the University of Szeged Hungary. Her PhD work focused on experimental acute pancreatitis. After completing internal medicine residency she spent 2 years at Mayo Clinic Rochester as a postdoctoral fellow doing basic science research in the field of pancreatic cancer related desmoplasia. She has several pre-reviewed publications in international journals, attended and presented at both Hungarian and international conferences. Her clinical interest include gastroenterology, pancreatobiliary diseases and gastrointestinal endoscopy.

During her fellowship at the Medical Devices Center (2013-2014) she worked on gastroenterology and cardiology related projects.

After completion of her Innovation fellowship at the MDC she is planning on getting board certified in the USA and resume her clinical carrier, while being open for exciting opportunities related to medical device development.
