JEFF REINEKE, DO (2013-2014)
Jeff has a BS in Biology with a minor in Chemistry, a BBA in Business Administration, and most recently graduated as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO). With over 10 years of experience in Analytical and Forensic Chemistry prior to medical school, he became adept at problem solving, time management, and continually seeking out ways to obtain and utilize new knowledge and technologies.
His analytical experiences at BASF, Forest Pharmaceuticals, the BOC Group, and in forensic science for Hamilton County in Ohio, fostered his continual need to improve instrument and experimental design and seek out alternate solutions for scientific problems. Medical school allowed him to approach human physiology and function systematically in much the same way, while satisfying a continual urge to understand interactions and causality, while nurturing his compassion for those in need. Medical devices allow for the perfect opportunity to incorporate Jeff’s analytical mind with his sincere desire to potentially impact the lives of a wide range of patient populations.
His post-doctoral research involves assisting in the utilization of the “Sleeping Beauty” transposon system for gene therapy treatment of lysosomal storage diseases. He assists in the development of pre-clinical experiments in animal models, and post-treatment assessment.
Jeff is an outdoorsman at heart, and spends as much time as he can squeeze in with his wife and two young children hiking, fishing, hunting and exploring nature.
