Dr. Gwenyth Fischer is a MDC innovation fellows program alumnus and a pediatric critical care physician at University of Minnesota Children's Hospital. She is also founder and Director of the Pediatric Device Innovation Consortium (PDIC), which focuses on supporting pediatric medical device technology development through academic-industry partnerships.

Dr. Fischer received her Bachelor of Arts at Vassar College with a focus in Cognitive Sciences, and continued to medical school at Loyola University in Chicago. She completed a pediatric residency at Children's Hospital at Dartmouth before returning to Minnesota, where she grew up, to finish her medical training. Her areas of interest and research include devices for ECMO and vad support, devices for pediatric resuscitation, and creating successful for pediatric medical device developers.
